Davao City — June 24, 2026. Southern Mindanao continues to recover from a series of strong earthquakes and aftershocks with a magnitude of 7.8 that struck the region on June 8, 2026, leaving homes damaged, roads impassable, and thousands of families displaced. Among the hardest-hit areas were the coastal communities of Barangay Balangonan in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, and Barangay Batulaki in Glan, Sarangani, where families lost both their homes and their primary source of livelihood as continuing aftershocks kept them from returning to sea.

In response, Milestone Guaranty and Assurance Corp. stepped forward as a partner in service to DCM Foundation, Inc., helping bring relief to 180 families across the two barangays. The operation delivered 180 food relief packs in total, 110 to Barangay Balangonan and 70 to Barangay Batulaki, along with 80 emergency shelter kits for families in Barangay Balangonan whose homes were damaged or rendered unsafe.

The Davao II Branch of Milestone Guaranty took an active role in the program, with its volunteers serving alongside fellow members of JCI Kadayawan, Inc. throughout the planning, procurement, and distribution process.

For Milestone Guaranty, the program assured that protection is found not only in an insurance policy, but showing up for people when they need it the most.
